KATATROPIC

Katatropic is a rising newcomer band from Vienna, bringing together musicians from various
backgrounds. Formed two years ago, the group has been creating a vibrant, genre-blending
sound that fuses Afrobeat, RnB, Reggae, and Jazz — music that’s both groovy and sophisticated,
full of rhythmic depth and energy. Known for their tight grooves, catchy horn lines, and
captivating stage presence, Katatropic turns every performance into a dynamic experience.
Their live shows radiate joy and connection, drawing audiences in with a sound relying heavily
on improvisation and groove, ever evolving but always danceable.

The band has already made their mark on Austria’s live music scene, performing at venues and
festivals such as Donauinselfest, Open Jazz Vienna Festival, Most & Jazz Festival, Planet Festival
Tour at Gasometer, Charity Festival Gürtelconnection, and ((szene)) Soundgarden, among
others.
