Become a trained beerkeeper®
A trained beerkeeper® [white level] knows that beer is more than just a beverage. Behind the art of brewing beer lies a multitude of flavours and an exciting history. As part of the training at our Ottakringer BrauWerk beer is tasted, tapped and, of course, brewed.
When beer becomes the main subject
The Ottakringer BrauWerk becomes a school for a few hours. But not a conventional one, because here a very special object is in the focus: beer. Who wouldn't want to go back to this school?
In a relaxed atmosphere, the proper tasting of beer is practised and a large number of international beer specialities are savoured. Together, our brewers from the Ottakringer BrauWerk and specialists from the Institute for Beer Culture create an exciting and fun program.
The two day course for the beerkeeper® [White Level] is packed with beer stories, tastings and - sometimes crazy - exercises that train and expand all the senses.
Food pairing, beer knowledge and self-brewed beer
Combining beer and food needs to be learned. While searching for the perfect match, you will brew your own beer and participate in an excursion into the world of craft beers.
As a beerkeeper® you also get an insight into the cultural heritage of beer, how it has grown historically and how it influences our existence today as a modern, incredibly exciting beverage - young & stylish, lively & courageous, different & sexy!
Worldwide there are hundreds of different beer styles that are constantly expanding. A beerkeeper® knows how to keep track and how to differentiate between the most important beer styles. Proper tapping and the right choice of the glass complete the beerkeeper® training. After that, nothing stands in the way of the perfect beer experience.
